About

The topic of archives, and specifically women's items in archives, was selected for this project because it's a matter close to the heart of both collaborators. We see women, and especially women of color, as not only being underrepresented in archives but misrepresented when they are included. Although this is not an issue we've solved in our project, we hope that by showcasing a variety of items and pointing out where our current processing standards fail to represent women on equal footing, that we can continue to encourage future conversation and spur on change.
